FOREST Hill have smashed their nearest rivals 11-1 in a round eight top of the table clash against Doncaster at Billabong Reserve on Saturday.
Forest Hill coach Phil Bertrand said although his team went in undermanned, his replacement players stepped up and got the job done.
“They did a terrific job today and the whole team made a significant contribution. Everyone got a safe hit and we had good pitching as well,” he said.
“We were errorless.”
Bertrand said while conditions were not ideal, his players handled the wet conditions very well.
“We look forward to games like this with quality opposition and with a result like this and a comprehensive win, psychologically its an excellent victory as well,” he said.
“If we’re still on top next week I’ll be very satisfied with that result so far.”
Forest Hill play Diamond Creek & Doncaster host Waverley next week, which completes the first half of the season
